LOFT DORMER ADDITION IN SLOPING ROOF
This usable space of this loft addition was doubled by building a featured called a dormer. A dormer can be one window wide or three windows wise. This dormer addition was a two window wide gable dormer. -
LOFT ADDITION ATTACHED TO CRAFTROOM
Sloping ceiling. Another experienced contractor who quoted this addition told the homeowner that a coffer ceiling was not possible because of the structural framing requirements. When Chris Doering looked at it he immediately saw the way. Large 4 tray coffer ceiling installed. -
LOW SLOPING CEILING (NO DORMER)
Loft additions are often possible in ceilings that slope down low on one side. This loft was quite useful for the space it gained over the living room and entry. -
NEW BONUS ROOM LOFT ADDIITION
Low sloping (5') on low end. Flat ceiling and 4 tray coffer on first floor. -
GRADUAL SLOPED CEILING GETS A NEW LOFT
Lower end of ceiling worked out well with this loft addition. Full use of space. -
Loft for BEDROOM
Hi volume ceiling over living room slopes down toward the front of the house. The high section was converted to a bedroom and the closets were built on the lower side of the room. -
VERY SLOPING CEILING BUT FUNCTIONAL
This ceiling over the family room sloped down quickly, but enough space was captured to create a small office and storage area. Sometimes just a little space can provide what you need....a place to work. -
Master Retreat Loft Office
Loft addition over dining to create a retreat off the master bedroom. Used as an office with one step down to offer a little more head room. -
Uniquely Shaped Loft Addition
This loft addition had some real unique challenges due to the existing design features of the house. 3D graphics were rendered and a unique shape was created. Loft slopes down low on one side where you will see a small storage door to access the area too low. -
NEW BONUS ROOM OVER LIVING ROOM
Roof slopes down front to back. Room addition is built in the center of the area with storage at one end. Area over front door is left vaulted and plant shelves blend the addition to the existing architectural features of the home. -
BEDROOM IN HIGH AND LOW CEILING SPACE
A portion of this addition is full height, however we incorporated the lower section to accommodate the bed and storage space accessible through a closet passage way. Looks like someone's been playing inside the storage. -
Low Sloping Open Loft
Remodel of stairway railing adds the finishing touch to this open loft. Storage area behind desk on low side of loft makes use of the area below 5 feet. -
Low Slope in front of loft area
Part of the room still had a low section. The main area of the room was full height. The lower section was only towards the front of the house. -
UNIQUE ANGLED LOFT ADDITION
Some homes are simply built with every different kind of angle you can imagine as well as sloping ceilings. This offered a challenge, but the end result is a smooth flowing loft addition. -
BEDROOM & STORAGE IN SLOPED CEILING SPACE
Storage was built in lowest section. Bedroom was built over the higher section in the front of the house (over entry) -
Loft Addition TV Room
Low Sloping Ceiling converted into open TV room with access to new rear deck. -
LOFT IN VAULTED CEILING PLUS KITCHEN REMODEL
Often times we are asked to do more than the loft addition. In this case we built a new loft, extended the front door towards the street and extended the rear kitchen several feet. -
Narrow Loft Addition
This loft addition was desired for an area to place a desk and library shelves. Photo shows loft addition only without finished library. -
Sloped Ceiling - Loft Play Area with Skylight
Loft addition for play area includes a skylight as well as new windows. Small area, but functional for containing the kids. -
SMALL LOFT ADDITION
Small loft over dining room area. -
LOFT ADDITION WITH LOW WALL
Ceiling line slopes downward toward front of home. Loft was built back behind the slope. Simple, but functional. -
Small Dormer Over High Ceiling in Garage
New game room above the rafters in the garage. The area was not quite high enough so a very simple dormer was installed.
