Loft Room Addition
The high vaulted ceiling space over the living room and entry was converted into a new open loft bonus room. This style of home is common in the San Bernardino county area. If you have a home with this type of low sloping ceiling you also have the option to raise the roof for the entire space or just over a smaller section. For economy purposes a dormer could be added to give more ceiling height in the loft.
The owner of this home in Rancho Cucamonga, California chose not to install a dormer, but instead to just keep it simple and build a loft addition.
