If you have a slanted ceiling in your home or attic and the space is just too low, you can widen your options and heighten you headroom with a feature called a dormer. Dormer rooms and additions come in all shapes and sizes.

Lofts are a super cost effective way to gain a new room fast. As long as you have enough ceiling height a new structural floor system is added along with electrical circuits, outlets, recessed lighting, and perhaps a few air vents need to be modified. In some cases the windows are already in the right position and all that is needed is a replacement window that opens for fresh air.

Chino Hills has an abundance of homes with high ceilings that can be converted to a loft.

Dormer additions can be added above a loft addition when the ceiling is too low on one side.
This results in a full height room.

A very affordable option for a room addition can be seen in this two story home remodel that had a high ceiling over the living room and dining room. If your home looks like the before shot you might just be able to build this cost effective solution.

It's called a dormer addition and it adds a good amount of new room square footage over your head while keeping costs under control. Typically about half the price of a two story addition this unique solution can sometimes get you just the amount of space you need.

Stair Railing Installation Upgraded

During an "inside" addition we convert the high
ceiling space into a new room. Many times this is
occurring in the area right around the stairwell.

When a new wall or ceiling line intersects with the
existing stair or balcony railing it might be hard to
visualize what happens at this point. The before
and after example below shows not only a hand
rail modification at the junction, but also this railing
has been upgraded from wood balusters to wrought
iron.
